Sitelapse Pricing Explained: What's Included in Our $250, $350, and $450 Plans
April 1, 2026
Most construction camera companies make you request a quote before you can see a single number. We think that is backwards. You should be able to evaluate whether a construction camera fits your budget before you ever talk to a salesperson.
This page breaks down exactly what each Sitelapse plan includes, what it costs, and what is not included. No surprises.
If you want a broader look at what construction cameras cost across the industry, our complete pricing guide for Canada compares all the major providers.
The Three Plans
Basic — $250/month per camera
The Basic plan covers everything a construction project needs for solid visual documentation.
What is included:
- Weatherproof camera rated to -40°C with heated enclosure
- LTE cellular connectivity on Canadian carrier networks (Bell, Rogers, or Telus — not US roaming)
- Professional installation at your site
- Cloud portal access with live HD camera feed
- Automated daily timelapse generation
- Timeline scrubbing — scroll through your project day by day
- 30-day rolling cloud storage
- Multi-site dashboard (if you have cameras on multiple projects)
- Email support during business hours (Eastern Time)
Best for: Single-camera projects where you need reliable documentation and a live feed for your team. Residential developments, small commercial builds, and renovation projects in the $1M to $10M range.
Pro — $350/month per camera
The Pro plan adds intelligence and collaboration features on top of the Basic foundation.
Everything in Basic, plus:
- AI-powered progress tracking — automated visual comparison showing how far along the build is week over week
- Safety monitoring — AI detection of PPE compliance, workers at height, and zone intrusions
- 90-day cloud storage retention
- Stakeholder sharing with role-based access — give your client, owner rep, or investor their own login with the access level you choose
- System health monitoring dashboard — camera status, connectivity, storage usage at a glance
- Priority support with faster response times
Best for: Mid-size commercial and multi-unit residential projects where you need to share progress with stakeholders and want AI-assisted safety monitoring. Projects in the $5M to $50M range, or any project where multiple parties need portal access.
Enterprise — $450/month per camera
The Enterprise plan is built for large, long-duration projects with complex requirements.
Everything in Pro, plus:
- Up to 2-year data retention (longer terms negotiated for multi-year infrastructure projects)
- Custom integrations with project management platforms (Procore, PlanGrid, Autodesk Construction Cloud)
- Dedicated account manager — a single point of contact who knows your project
- Service level agreement (SLA) with guaranteed uptime and response times
- API access for custom workflows and data integration
- Custom reporting and analytics
Best for: Large infrastructure, institutional, and government projects. Transit builds, hospital expansions, university campuses, highway construction, and any project where documentation requirements are complex or contractually mandated. Projects over $50M, or any project requiring extended retention or third-party system integration.

Launch Pricing — $149/month
We are currently offering a launch promotion: $149 per month for the first three months on any plan. This is limited to our first 10 customers.
The launch price gives you full access to whichever plan you choose. After three months, the camera continues at the regular monthly rate for your plan. There is no obligation to continue if the service does not meet your expectations.
If you are evaluating construction cameras for an upcoming project, this is the lowest entry point we will offer. Get in touch to reserve a spot.
When to Choose Each Plan
Choose Basic if:
- You need a single camera on one project
- Your primary need is a live feed and timelapse documentation
- You do not need to share portal access with clients or investors
- The project is under 12 months and you only need 30 days of rolling footage
Choose Pro if:
- Multiple stakeholders need access to the camera feed (clients, owner reps, investors, municipal inspectors)
- You want AI-assisted progress and safety monitoring
- You need 90 days of footage retention for compliance or dispute protection
- You are managing multiple camera sites from one dashboard
Choose Enterprise if:
- The project runs longer than 12 months and you need extended retention
- You have contractual documentation requirements (common on government and institutional projects)
- You need integration with Procore, PlanGrid, or other project management platforms
- You want a dedicated account manager and SLA guarantees
- You need API access for custom reporting or workflow integration
What Is NOT Included
We believe in transparent pricing, which means being upfront about what costs extra.
24/7 Live Video Monitoring — $1,800/month per site
This is a separate add-on available on any plan. Trained security personnel monitor your live camera feeds around the clock, with AI-assisted intrusion detection. They escalate incidents to your site manager and contact authorities if needed. It is a premium service with real people watching real feeds — not just motion alerts. More details on our monitoring page.
Camera relocation
If you need to move a camera to a different position on site (for example, when a crane blocks the original angle), we handle it. Relocation is typically included once per project at no charge. Additional relocations may incur a service fee depending on complexity and distance.
Volume pricing
If you need three or more cameras on a single site, or cameras across multiple projects, we offer volume discounts. These are quoted on a case-by-case basis. Contact us for a custom quote.
Extended retention beyond plan limits
Need more than 2 years of retention on Enterprise? We can accommodate longer retention for infrastructure projects with multi-year timelines. This is quoted separately based on storage requirements.
How Sitelapse Compares on Price
Here is where we sit relative to other providers serving the Canadian market:
| Provider | Monthly Price Range | Based In | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| TrueLook | $99–$199 | US (San Diego) | Lower entry price, solar-powered, US carrier roaming in Canada |
| Sensera | ~$200 | US | Solar specialist, growing AI features |
| Sitelapse | $250–$450 | Canada (Mississauga) | Canadian carriers, -40°C cameras, local support |
| EarthCam | $300–$600+ | US (New Jersey) | Enterprise-focused, quote-based, widest hardware range |
| OxBlue/Hexagon | $200–$900 | US | Wide range, unlimited lifetime storage at high end |
TrueLook is genuinely cheaper at the entry level. If your primary need is a basic camera with a live feed and you are comfortable with US-based support and carrier roaming, they are a solid option. Our detailed TrueLook comparison breaks down the differences in depth.
Where Sitelapse justifies the higher price is Canadian-specific value: cameras that perform in our winters, cellular on our carrier networks without roaming, support in our timezone, and a portal built for Canadian construction workflows.
What You Are Actually Paying For
When you pay $250 to $450 per month, you are not just renting a camera. You are paying for a managed service that includes:
- Hardware — The camera itself, enclosure, mounting hardware, and LTE modem
- Connectivity — Cellular data plan on Canadian carriers, unlimited
- Software — The cloud portal, timelapse engine, dashboard, and all future feature updates
- Storage — Cloud storage on Cloudflare’s global network
- Installation — Professional setup at your site
- Maintenance — If something breaks, we fix or replace it
- Support — Real people who understand construction cameras
Compare that to buying your own equipment, where you are responsible for each of those line items separately.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to sign a long-term contract?
No. All plans are available month-to-month. We also offer discounted rates for 6-month and 12-month commitments if you know your project timeline upfront. Most clients choose month-to-month and cancel when the project wraps.
What happens when my project ends?
When construction is complete, you have two options. You can return the camera and your portal access remains active for the duration of your storage retention period (30, 90, or up to 730 days depending on your plan). Or, if you have another project starting, we can relocate the camera to your next site.
Can I upgrade my plan mid-project?
Yes. You can move from Basic to Pro or from Pro to Enterprise at any time. The new rate takes effect on your next billing cycle. You cannot downgrade mid-project because retention and feature changes are difficult to reverse cleanly.
Is there a discount for multiple cameras?
Yes. If you need three or more cameras on a single site, or you are deploying cameras across multiple projects, contact us for volume pricing.
Where is my data stored?
Your footage and timelapse videos are stored on Cloudflare R2, a global cloud storage network. Cloudflare has data centres across Canada and worldwide. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Do you offer a free trial?
We do not offer a free trial, but our launch pricing of $149/month for three months is the next best thing. If the service does not meet your expectations within the first 30 days, we will work with you to make it right.
Can I view the camera from my phone?
Yes. The Sitelapse portal is a responsive web application that works on any device — phone, tablet, or desktop. There is no separate app to download.
What if the camera stops working?
If a camera goes offline or malfunctions, our system health monitoring detects it automatically and alerts our team. We troubleshoot remotely first, and if the issue requires a site visit, we schedule one at no additional charge. Replacement hardware is included in your plan.
How long does installation take?
Typical installation takes two to four hours depending on site conditions, mounting location, and cellular signal strength. We coordinate scheduling with your site superintendent to minimize disruption.
Can I calculate the ROI for my specific project?
Yes. Our ROI analysis guide walks through the math for different project types and shows where the value comes from — dispute avoidance, stakeholder communication, insurance benefits, and marketing.
